It’s time to finally look back on 2021 and see what’s been going on. Here at BRGN we have made some massive changes, both internally as well as externally. We would like to thank all of you: Our loyal customers and followers, for sharing the love for our products. We hope you’ve been able to stay warm and dry during the rainiest seasons. BRGN wish that we helped solve some of your everyday needs in this ever-changing climate.
Let’s have a look back at what 2021 has given BRGN by Lunde & Gaundal
Highlight of the year
BRGN opened our second concept store, We Are BRGN, in Oslo! Along with this, a regional office and showroom for all our B2B-customers. We are very glad to be able to showcase the complete BRGN collection to customers in our capital, as well as in our concept store in Bergen.
This spring the whole team went on a company outing, called “blåtur” in Norwegian. We did not know where we were headed, the founders Karine and Ros-Mari tricked everyone into believing we were going skydiving! Let’s be honest, the strategy worked, because when it turned out that we were “only” going to try Scandinavia’s longest zipline in Flåm – it didn’t seem so scary.
A French surprise 🇫🇷
When influencer @emiliebrunette discovered BRGN during her holiday in Norway, and we suddenly were “big in France”. We have talked about this earlier, and we would like to give a big shoutout to Emilie Daudin for introducing BRGN to the French.

This year we’ve been continuing the work towards a greener planet. We know the fashion industry is not exactly the leading one when it comes to the environment, but at BRGN we try to do our part. We have held two Secondhand Markets at our own concept store in Bergen, where anyone could sell and shop used fashion; not only BRGN-products.
The partnership with Fjong was introduced, and with great success. Rumor has it there’s been a waiting list for BRGN items since the launch, and we are working on getting more products to Fjong. Stay tuned.
We also partnered with Repairable this year. They are a company which specializes in repairing waterproof garments, so whenever our customers need help with repairing an old item, we reach out to Repairable.
Places we’ve been
Of course, there has been minimal traveling also this year, but we made a few trips during 2021. Both of our designers, Ida and Karine, went to Ukraine to visit our shoe-factory. Yes, where the famous Chelsea’s are made! Although Ida was certain they would die in one of the plane rides, no one is happier than us that they survived.
Christina, our sales- and retail consultant, have been near and far visiting our retailers here in Norway. She always comes home with a big smile around her mouth after meeting with all the amazing stores that carry BRGN products.
Recently, designer Ida and head of marketing Angela, traveled to Trondheim to work with Berre Studio for the shoot of our AW22-collection! Guess if we had a dog in the photos? Guess!
The ever-expanding team
BRGN is a start up company which keeps growing. This year alone we hired the entire staff for our Oslo store, added some new faces to our Bergen store and also grew in the office. The new COO, Birgitte, even brought on a real sheep’s bell for the office-space. We ring it every time something good happens. The marketing department doubled in size, from one to two people. (Hi, Vilde.)
In our concept store in Bergen, we’ve had a couple of fun events this year. From “Taco & Bubbles” to book-launches to storytelling for children. Even with several lockdowns and restrictions, the team at BRGN bistro would like to thank every one of our customers visiting for a hot cup of coffee or grabbing a bite to eat. Speaking of eating; have you tried any of Gerhard’s cakes yet? They are absolutely delicious!

We are honored to be featured in many established magazines and newspapers. From the local paper, BA, to Vogue Scandinavia, The New York Times and Norwegian Elle. Wow, thank you for showcasing our products and story.
Proud to support Pride
Since 2020 we have specially designed a BRGN Pride cap. This year we donated the profits of the sales to FRI: The Norwegian organisation of gender and sexual diversity. We sold out this year, but not to worry, a new chance will come next year. #spoileralert
So you think you can dance?
Let’s be honest, we could go on and on with this list. But let us end this the same way we always end our work week: with an office dance! The Friday dance was introduced this year – it creates such good vibes, love and laughter among the team. While working from home, we’ve even kept the tradition alive via Teams.
