Packing list for Easter

April is finally here, and Easter is just around the corner. If you are taking a little trip this Easter, we have prepared a packing list of items you need to bring and why.

Fun fact: The Easter bunny costume was first mentioned in Georg Franck von Franckenau´s De ovis paschalibus (About Easter eggs) in 1682, referring to a German tradition of an Easter Hare bringing eggs for the children.

Wool

If you are travelling in the northern parts of Europe, chances are you need a bit of wool. During the day the sun can be quite warming, however, once the sun goes down the cold comes out.

Quiz books

In Norway, we have a TV-show that goes throughout Easter which is all about quizzing. The convenient stores also sell a lot of Easter quiz books.

Norwegians often bring them along to the cabin or use them in the evenings to quiz each other.

Headpieces

Whether you are spending Easter at your cabin or in the city, once the sun comes out everybody goes outside to soak it in. One accessory that is good to have is a headpiece that shield your face from the sun, like a cap or bucket hat. Check out our collection of headwear.

Sun lotion

Remember to bring sun lotion for when the sun finally peaks out. It looks after your skin and is a good product to always have packed in your bag.

Neck warmer or scarf

Don´t let the sun fool you, we are still just in April and the wind can get very cold. To avoid catching a cold this Easter we also recommend you pack a neck warmer or scarf.

Chocolate

There is no Easter without chocolate. Here in Norway, it is tradition to give the kids their Easter egg on Easter eve. While the kids are enjoying their egg, remember to also treat yourself. Maybe a piece of "Kvikk Lunch" – the go-to chocolate for many Norwegians during Easter.
